Private Lessons
Voice Lessons
Weekly half-hour or full-hour one-on-one lessons tailored to fit each student’s individual needs. Stephanie practices a therapeutic approach to singing that helps heal and restore a tired or misused voice, improve vocal ability, breath support, and build confidence and self-esteem.
Lessons include studying a wide variety of vocal styles and/or languages, with varying degrees of difficulty, tailored to the needs of the individual singer. A variety of music is explored including pop, jazz, musical theater, opera, and world music.
Materials
Each student is given a folder that is customized for his or her voice lessons. The folder is separated into sections consisting of warm-up exercises taught, a practice log of what to work on for the next lesson, notes, goals, and the student’s song repertoire.
Vocal Ensemble
All Private Voice students are invited and encouraged to attend monthly Vocal Ensemble rehearsals. Vocal Ensemble provides exposure to an even broader amount of repertoire and musical styles, improve sight-singing skills and ability to sing harmonic vocal lines, develop an awareness of the differences between solo and choral singing practices, learn conducting techniques, and explore a range of musical instruments.
Recital & Concert Performances
At least one recital is planned for Voce Dolce students each year, usually in the Spring.
